It's Time to Breakthrough & Breakup...With Your Old Patterns

Leading The Abundance Project with 10 beautiful souls has been a transformative experience, for the students and for myself. Holy cow… I am wowed by the rapid transformations in such little time. Today, I speak from my own perspective, as I reflect on the expansion and shifts I’ve witnessed in our courageous students over such a short period of time. I share my perspective as an outsider looking in and acknowledge the incredible individuals who I am fortunate enough to serve. I can say so much about the challenges and up-levels we’ve all experienced - as students of life, as a leader myself, and as human beings invested in our growth.

We’ve been healing together for 2.5 months…not a long time when it comes to shifting old patterns/habits, redefining self-image, forgiving past “mistakes,” and reinventing yourself. Above all, even the very first week and group coaching session alone revealed wildly profound shifts for the students. WOW. As I reflect, I realize I got to witness firsthand…

  • students seeing repressed emotions rise to their conscious awareness, learning to release self-judgement and allowing challenging emotions to coexist within them peacefully

  • students gaining profoundly deep insight around how they view themselves in the world and finding deeper inner courage and feelings of safety and security within themselves

  • students identifying their daily triggers, processing the significant impact on their lives, and learning to transmute fear-based reactions into love-based responses

  • students learning a healthy approach to journaling to access deeper self-awareness, processing, and self-healing

  • students learning how to guide themselves through powerful, heart-healing meditations with flow and ease

They’ve learned about processing the most challenging and deeply routed emotions, cleansing their energy to release pain and deep struggle, creating daily gratitude and allowance practices, and honoring themselves and the process of doing the inner work. They’ve learned to deviate away from self-sabotage and lean into acceptance of up-leveling and owning their growth and the powerful changes they’ve made in their daily lives. They’ve persevered amidst it all. They have courage. They have strength. They have persistence.

They encompass exactly what The Abundance Project stands for: emptying and clearing your figurative bucket of crap (harmful, limiting beliefs and false narratives taken as our own - you know, crap), to make space for the lighter, brighter, more abundant life ahead of you.

As a leader, we should ask for feedback, we should reconnect to the mission of the project, we should ensure our actions are in alignment with our values, and we should recalibrate when things need shifting. So I did…the feedback I received was enormously encouraging and helpful for guiding me to lead my students even better. Some of the feedback I received blew my mind:

I think before I speak… I’ve shifted the way I communicate so that it comes out safely for everyone. I have much better relationships now and definitely improved how I handle them.

I’m discovering a lot of the shadow parts of myself and actually feeling and processing the emotions. I’ve been moving a lot of negative thoughts and energy that I had built up and stored in my body… now I acknowledge my frustration and I move through it much easier.

The Allowance Meditation changed my life…just doing that one night, that whole process was incredible, and now I use that on a daily basis as part of my daily practice. And every morning I journal now, and I make more intentional choices every day.

It (The Abundance Project) has been really connecting and helps me love myself more because seeing other women who are going through similar experiences in their own journey makes me feel more relatable and understood.

It’s teaching me to accept self-forgiveness; it’s giving me a sense of being able to forgive life and myself, and to be easy on myself.

…the powerful experiences and integrations go on…

On top of my student’s learning lessons all along the way, I’ve been learning and transforming myself. Leading is a difficult task, one made easier by becoming aware of and taking ownership of your mistakes and where you fell short. I believe it’s part of the human experience to fall short at times. And I did. There were times when chronic illness and depression got the best of me, there were times I felt lost and disconnected from the mission and the vision at heart. And there were many more times that I took ownership of those faults, and chose to reconnect, recalibrate, and refasten my seat belt for the purpose of serving the mission, serving the hearts, and serving for lasting impact. These are absolutely invaluable lessons that I’m so grateful to have learned with my students. They and this project itself have allowed ME to up-level as well.

Now, let’s just acknowledge something huge here. Doing the inner work is NOT always rainbows and butterflies. It can look messy, most of the time, it does look messy. It can be exhausting, and it can even be really, really easy to avoid. Resistance lays itself on thick when doing the inner work, and avoiding the work is the easier route, or is it?… What outcome do you get when you avoid doing the inner work? … Nothing.

You continue on the same path, stuck in the same place, with the same habits, triggers and patterns that you have felt troubled by for so long already. You stay in the same toxic relationships, cycles repeat themselves, and you continue treating yourself poorly in a way you do not deserve. In other words, avoiding the inner work will slowly break you. That’s not the path you need to choose.

You read before, my students have changed their relationships completely, and not only their relationships with others, but especially their relationship with themselves. They do the tough, inner work, and well… you’ve seen just a short list of the benefits written above.

So, that brings me to the fact that you don’t have to do the inner work alone, and you certainly don’t have to keep avoiding it. It doesn’t even have to be as hard as it has been either. Why not?

Well because The Breakthrough Project (aka. the revamped and improved Abundance Project) has your back…the program itself, me (your nurturing coach), and the other growth-minded and healing individuals in your group…all of us have your back. The program itself makes growing, healing, and expanding easier, clear and able to be done. Your coach (me) and your community makes you feel encouraged, empowered, and supported while you’re doing the work. We make you feel in community, nurtured and loved. Healing can be manageable. Healing can be softer. And, it can and will serve you deeply.

The only thing you have to do right now is commit to joining us by registering now, and get ready to heal and grow, in loving company.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll be hearing from the students themselves as they recount their experiences from their journeys in their heartfully written blog posts.

It’s time to breakthrough and breakup with your old patterns. With me by your side the whole way.

I can’t wait to show you how to breakthrough.

With love and gratitude,

Devin
