3 Habits that Changed My Life and Will Change Yours too (Part 1)

Every successful person and entrepreneur I know and/or admire practices success habits, or high performance habits. As a business owner or entrepreneur, it’s a huge step to becoming the success you want to be. You simply have to practice some...you don’t have to be a superhero and incorporate them ALL, simply starting with one goes a long way.

Since early 2018, I’ve been replacing my unhelpful habits with success habits. Out of the many success habits I consistently practice, three of my top favorite and most impactful habits are:

  1. Wake up at least 2-hours before my day and work actually begins

    1. I call this time my “calm before the storm.” Waking up before most of the rest of the world gives me a sense of peace, calm, and serenity. It also makes me feel accomplished since it’s the first thing I do every morning - I already start off with a dopamine hit so early in the morning, which is a huge benefit to the rest of my day. I use that time to sit with myself and go through my self-care and morning routine. Doing this lets me think about my intentions and goals for the day, get mentally prepared for the day ahead, and start my morning on a peaceful, non-chaotic note. It’s also a great reflection time for me, which helps me process my emotions deeply before my day even begins so I can start my day feeling energetically lighter.

  2. Create a Morning Routine

    1. Morning routines take the guesswork and extra decision making out of your day. You’ll preset your morning routine so that you don’t have to waste mental energy figuring out what you need to do each morning. They set you up for success by giving you more brain power, more groundedness, and less chaos each morning. A simple morning routine could look like: wake up, drink a glass of water next to your bedside, make your bed, drink your coffee/tea/lemon water in silence or while listening to a podcast, read 5 pages of a new great book, and journal your daily gratitude (in that same order to minimize extra decision making).

  3. Create Self-Care Practices

    1. I practice self-care every day. Without it, my mental health and physical health, and my ability to focus, give to others, and accomplish my goals suffers. Self-care is a way to refill your cup and your energy so that you’re not always pouring from an empty glass. When you practice self-care, you have more to give to yourself (being self-loyal) and to others. Your self-care directly impacts you and affects those all around you because now they get the nourished version of you. Self-care could look like any of the following: practicing meditation, journaling, EFT tapping, 10 minutes of self-reflection, spending 5 minutes putting on makeup so you show up more confidently, creative writing time, etc.

Start one of these success habits today. If you’ve tried and tried and tried to start new success habits on your own and they always seem to fall away, you may need support. If you feel called to get started on changing your life for the better, you know where to find me.

Which one feels most approachable to you?  Let me know in the comments!

Why Journaling Isn't Working for You...

Why journaling isn’t working for you…

Do you find yourself having one, two or maybe even three of the following problems?

Problem #1: Do you pick up your journal and all of sudden feel blocked?

Problem #2: Do you want to journal but find you don’t have the time for it?

Problem #3: Have you journaled before but keep falling off track and find yourself inconsistent with it?

I’ll tell you why this may be happening for you…

Reason #1: You’ve made the decision and the time to journal, but when you open your journal you ultimately have no clue what to journal about. This may be because you have NO idea where to start. There’s soo much you could be writing about, that it might be overwhelming and blocking your ability to start. You may even feel like there’s nothing to write about…it all comes down to not knowing where to start. Once you know where to begin, you’ll get the hang of it easy.

Reason #2: Are you scrolling on your phone for more than 10 minutes a day collectively, or even in just one sitting? Are you finding yourself on social media to create or to consume? Is it a mix of both? You may find that you don’t have the time because you’re not making space for it in your day and unhelpful habits may be filling that space. You feel like you’re constantly busy. If you’re spending 15+ minutes a day scrolling or watching TV or anything else that’s mindless and unsupportive, you’re missing out on sincerely transformative journaling time….time that will help you heal, find happiness, and discover hope. Time that will help you grow.

Reason #3: You may be inconsistent with journaling for a couple reasons. One may be that you decided to be gung ho on journaling for a short period of time and you started by journaling every day, only to find you’ve bumped into a vulnerability hangover and have to take a rest from journaling, at which point you forget your intention and lose focus. You also may not be making a solid intentional commitment to yourself to actually adopt journaling as a new habit. If you’re not deeply intentional about creating a new journaling habit, it’s not going to happen for you.

The Revolutionary Journal solves each one of these problems. You know why this is happening to you now….so become part of the solution. Get The Revolutionary Journal to finally create your own journaling habit and kickstart your personal transformation.

With never ending belief in you,

Her Story: Savannah's Awakening to Prosperity & Self-Worth

a special guest contribution recounting her transformative experiences

Heartfully Written by: Savannah Dean, Reiki Practitioner & Kundalini Yoga Instructor, Founder of Ritualized Holistics & Orange County Divine Feminine Sisterhood

Devin and I crossed paths in October of 2021 at a full moon ceremony on dockweiler beach. I knew instantly when I met Devin, that she had something amazing to offer that was going to change my life. The words she was sharing, the depth she was going into in our gathering, not even just for me but the women around me. Devin shared a lot about what she was working towards, which is what led me to - The Abundance Project!

Devin has created a safe container for men and women to show up for themselves. A project that helps us completely dive deep into our core and exactly who we truly are. I remember at first not knowing where my life was going to take me at the beginning of this course. I knew what I wanted to do but didn’t have full clarity around my purpose, or my true gifts until I started to walk through this project, one day at a time. I didn’t have a job, was struggling finding something, was struggling with what I wanted to truly do and what truly made me happy, was struggling with friendships, and my marriage.

The Abundance project has taught me to work with your emotions rather than against them. Emotions are just energy in motion! It took me years to grasp this. This project has helped me cultivate discipline in my life, by creating a daily routine/practice. It’s helped me move through lots of trauma from past friendships and relationships. It’s absolutely opened me up to Vulnerability through all areas of my life. Devin’s project has helped me overcome fear, depression, resentment, anxiety, and the fact I truly didn’t know HOW to love myself. If I couldn’t love myself, how could I possibly share the love with others? I couldn’t.

It was 2 weeks into the program, when I started moving through lots of fear and resentment and abuse that I encountered from a past relationship. I cried, laughed, danced, slept a LOT, you name it. Devin helped me push through all of these emotions and fear. I reached out when I was struggling and Devin was there to support me and help me anyway she possibly could. She taught me how to separate my ego from my conscious mind, how to truly love myself, how to give myself credit for when I accomplish things that are huge and celebrate them, and most importantly how to have awareness! Awareness is the first step in your healing journey!

A month into the program, I was having a massive transformation. I experienced ego death, so strongly that who I was before this program I can’t even picture existed anymore! This program has led me to who I am, at my true inner core. The person I am below the surface level of just my name, what I do, what I like, etc. I ended up creating a community after Devin helped me become aware that I had the power to transmute energy and change how I feel/deal with past friendships. I realized I had to show up for myself in order to attract the same kind of people! 3 months later, my sisterhood has 70 women. I host monthly ceremonies and gatherings for us women to come together, in our true authentic expression and to cocreate a safe space for us women to be vulnerable in.

BUT WAIT.... That’s not the only thing that has manifested in my life. I realized I had so many blockages, blocking me from manifesting what I truly wanted before joining The Abundance Project. I needed to gain clarity around my purpose. This program has helped me realize what I truly deserve, and what I am worth. I ended up moving some toxic and old friendships out of my life so that I could make space for more. Mind you, it was NOT easy. Cultivating healthy boundaries into my life for myself, letting go of people I thought cared, but truly they weren’t in alignment with me. If it wasn’t serving me or my purpose, I completely quit wasting my time! It was time to focus on ME, and who I am and what I deserve. As I started to make more space by releasing toxicity, I started to manifest so much. So much that everything since starting this program is a part of my manifestation work.

~ I manifested a Reiki Certification course which was free, & remember I wasn’t working. So the fact it was presented to me for free, was a huge hell yes for me. I have now gotten so close with my reiki instructor that I am level 2 reiki certified and will have my masters come May 15, 2022. I ended up investing into fully becoming A Reiki Master.

~ I manifested a mentor to help me launch my business, which is called Ritualized Holistics. As these manifestations started unfolding, Is when I truly started to realize my big mission and purpose on this earth.

~ I manifested a side job (outside the matrix) and getting paid cash while I am still working on fully launching my business to keep me afloat until I can start making lots of money. Talk about, wow!!

~ I manifested a community/project to join that is from Tecate Mexico. Come next month I will be part of 1 day retreats in LA, San Diego, and Tecate Mexico, as well as 3 day retreats at their ranch in Mexico and 7 day international retreats that are going to be all about exploring sacred grounds and ancestral land.

My purpose is to share my gifts with the world. To help people become aware of their ego, and when it takes over, and how to separate their subconscious from their conscious mind. I am the Queen of Voice! I help gather a community of like minded individuals together, to create sacred safe spaces for people to show up as their true authentic selves. I am here to share these tools and knowledge I have with the world, to help them throughout their journey.

Something I learned that I wanted to share is that: your mess is your message!!!! In order to embrace and embody who you truly are, you must work through the trauma, shame, fear, depression, anxiety, guilt, etc. Devin’s program helps you to reprogram your nervous system as well as your mind.

I’m absolutely so grateful I came across The Abundance Project and invested in myself. The past 3 months have been part of some of the biggest transformations of my life. My message is this: I am here to help people overcome depression, anxiety, and addiction.. and help them step into Prosperity, Self Love and Abundance!

With love,

Savannah

Her Story: Kylie's Path to Abundance

a special guest contribution recounting her transformative experiences

Heartfully Written by: Kylie Villanueva, Shamanic Healer & Founder of Sacred Spaces

Devin has such a powerful energetic force that crossing paths and being in her field alone has transformed my life.

What she has created in The Abundance Project is thoughtful, detailed, intentional, and has lasting effects. It offers guidance to gain insight and clarity about yourself with the powerful tool of journaling. It also offers effective tools for clearing that I personal use now in my everyday practice.

The gifts I have been experiencing from this creation are getting to know myself in ways that give me a deep and nourishing relationship to myself. Through this work I have discovered how to allow myself to be and feel exactly how I am. This gift of allowance brings an abundance of flow, understanding, freedom, and love into my life.

I have gained awareness of the areas of my life where I felt unhappy, unfulfilled, resentment, and out of my power. With the allowance that I’ve gained, it gave me courage to face these aspects of my life that I once tried to ignore. Facing them with understanding, compassion, and an open heart has been allowing me to dissolve the resentment for the way my life was occurring to me.

In the beginning, I deeply resented the mundane routine and experiences of my life. Especially the mundane moments as a mother, wife, homemaker. I felt resentment all the way until the end of the day because I knew it was going to happen all over again and how could I go on in this depressive and angry state?! I felt resentment towards my resentment because I could see how it got in the way of my love for myself and my family. I was only finding joy in the spiritual aspect of my life.

Through this work I have gained freedom! Finally a release and the flood gates have been opened. I am experiencing peace while discovering how to integrate all aspects of my life. I am experiencing bits of magic throughout my mundane routines and even experiencing gratitude for the mundane experiences! As it is all a part of my gifted human and soul experience.

I also have a clearer vision of how my beliefs create my reality. I am the creator of my beliefs, therefore I am the creator of my reality! I have uncovered many beliefs that were hidden in my subconscious. For example, I discovered a deeply rooted belief that I can not trust people because they are liars, manipulators, and fake with impure intentions and that means I am unsafe. This belief does not allow for intimate relationships or any true relationships at all. It is a defense mechanism with a fearful mindset. I have been able to take responsibility for this belief and gain strength and courage to let go and trust. When I am able to see this is a created belief, I am presented with more choices. Now I see the choice is to suffer or trust. I have the strength and courage to choose trust. Trust is a pathway for abundance to flow.

People can show up however they show up and I understand it has nothing to do with me, just a mere reflection of themselves. It is no longer something that I have to give my energy away for. I have gained understanding, acceptance, and  compassion for this as well.

The Abundance Project also offers a very impactful process in releasing fear. Fear is a major blockage in receiving abundance. In this process I have been guided through ways to become clear of what my fears are. Then to understand the fears, which through understanding, I gain compassion. The compassion and understanding grants my access to forgiveness. The combination sets me free.

The Abundance Project is a beautiful transformative program. Devin offers impactful coaching and support. The quality of my life has grown exponentially as well as the lives of those around me. The abundance I have received in my life through this work, ripples out into the world around me.

Thank you Devin, for this incredible opportunity. You are a bright and powerful light in the world. I am blessed and honored to have crossed paths with you.

With love,

Kylie

It's Time to Breakthrough & Breakup...With Your Old Patterns

Leading The Abundance Project with 10 beautiful souls has been a transformative experience, for the students and for myself. Holy cow… I am wowed by the rapid transformations in such little time. Today, I speak from my own perspective, as I reflect on the expansion and shifts I’ve witnessed in our courageous students over such a short period of time. I share my perspective as an outsider looking in and acknowledge the incredible individuals who I am fortunate enough to serve. I can say so much about the challenges and up-levels we’ve all experienced - as students of life, as a leader myself, and as human beings invested in our growth.

We’ve been healing together for 2.5 months…not a long time when it comes to shifting old patterns/habits, redefining self-image, forgiving past “mistakes,” and reinventing yourself. Above all, even the very first week and group coaching session alone revealed wildly profound shifts for the students. WOW. As I reflect, I realize I got to witness firsthand…

  • students seeing repressed emotions rise to their conscious awareness, learning to release self-judgement and allowing challenging emotions to coexist within them peacefully

  • students gaining profoundly deep insight around how they view themselves in the world and finding deeper inner courage and feelings of safety and security within themselves

  • students identifying their daily triggers, processing the significant impact on their lives, and learning to transmute fear-based reactions into love-based responses

  • students learning a healthy approach to journaling to access deeper self-awareness, processing, and self-healing

  • students learning how to guide themselves through powerful, heart-healing meditations with flow and ease

They’ve learned about processing the most challenging and deeply routed emotions, cleansing their energy to release pain and deep struggle, creating daily gratitude and allowance practices, and honoring themselves and the process of doing the inner work. They’ve learned to deviate away from self-sabotage and lean into acceptance of up-leveling and owning their growth and the powerful changes they’ve made in their daily lives. They’ve persevered amidst it all. They have courage. They have strength. They have persistence.

They encompass exactly what The Abundance Project stands for: emptying and clearing your figurative bucket of crap (harmful, limiting beliefs and false narratives taken as our own - you know, crap), to make space for the lighter, brighter, more abundant life ahead of you.

As a leader, we should ask for feedback, we should reconnect to the mission of the project, we should ensure our actions are in alignment with our values, and we should recalibrate when things need shifting. So I did…the feedback I received was enormously encouraging and helpful for guiding me to lead my students even better. Some of the feedback I received blew my mind:

I think before I speak… I’ve shifted the way I communicate so that it comes out safely for everyone. I have much better relationships now and definitely improved how I handle them.

I’m discovering a lot of the shadow parts of myself and actually feeling and processing the emotions. I’ve been moving a lot of negative thoughts and energy that I had built up and stored in my body… now I acknowledge my frustration and I move through it much easier.

The Allowance Meditation changed my life…just doing that one night, that whole process was incredible, and now I use that on a daily basis as part of my daily practice. And every morning I journal now, and I make more intentional choices every day.

It (The Abundance Project) has been really connecting and helps me love myself more because seeing other women who are going through similar experiences in their own journey makes me feel more relatable and understood.

It’s teaching me to accept self-forgiveness; it’s giving me a sense of being able to forgive life and myself, and to be easy on myself.

…the powerful experiences and integrations go on…

On top of my student’s learning lessons all along the way, I’ve been learning and transforming myself. Leading is a difficult task, one made easier by becoming aware of and taking ownership of your mistakes and where you fell short. I believe it’s part of the human experience to fall short at times. And I did. There were times when chronic illness and depression got the best of me, there were times I felt lost and disconnected from the mission and the vision at heart. And there were many more times that I took ownership of those faults, and chose to reconnect, recalibrate, and refasten my seat belt for the purpose of serving the mission, serving the hearts, and serving for lasting impact. These are absolutely invaluable lessons that I’m so grateful to have learned with my students. They and this project itself have allowed ME to up-level as well.

Now, let’s just acknowledge something huge here. Doing the inner work is NOT always rainbows and butterflies. It can look messy, most of the time, it does look messy. It can be exhausting, and it can even be really, really easy to avoid. Resistance lays itself on thick when doing the inner work, and avoiding the work is the easier route, or is it?… What outcome do you get when you avoid doing the inner work? … Nothing.

You continue on the same path, stuck in the same place, with the same habits, triggers and patterns that you have felt troubled by for so long already. You stay in the same toxic relationships, cycles repeat themselves, and you continue treating yourself poorly in a way you do not deserve. In other words, avoiding the inner work will slowly break you. That’s not the path you need to choose.

You read before, my students have changed their relationships completely, and not only their relationships with others, but especially their relationship with themselves. They do the tough, inner work, and well… you’ve seen just a short list of the benefits written above.

So, that brings me to the fact that you don’t have to do the inner work alone, and you certainly don’t have to keep avoiding it. It doesn’t even have to be as hard as it has been either. Why not?

Well because The Breakthrough Project (aka. the revamped and improved Abundance Project) has your back…the program itself, me (your nurturing coach), and the other growth-minded and healing individuals in your group…all of us have your back. The program itself makes growing, healing, and expanding easier, clear and able to be done. Your coach (me) and your community makes you feel encouraged, empowered, and supported while you’re doing the work. We make you feel in community, nurtured and loved. Healing can be manageable. Healing can be softer. And, it can and will serve you deeply.

The only thing you have to do right now is commit to joining us by registering now, and get ready to heal and grow, in loving company.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll be hearing from the students themselves as they recount their experiences from their journeys in their heartfully written blog posts.

It’s time to breakthrough and breakup with your old patterns. With me by your side the whole way.

I can’t wait to show you how to breakthrough.

With love and gratitude,

Devin
